CREATE YOURSHELF

As part of the Manual and Material Culture program at NDU, an extensive material study on Palast Plaast was conducted. This innovative plastic granulate, which becomes moldable at 60°C, was specifically tested for use in panel connections. In the experiments, the granulate was ironed onto wood, creating a glue-like bond. This method proved particularly interesting due to its easy handling and strong adhesion. The study examined various aspects of the application, including the duration of heat exposure, the strength of the bond, and potential areas of use compared to traditional adhesives.
